EPIC on the Road – Mobile Workforce Development Program

EPIC on the Road is our new Mobile Workforce Development Program that brings the classroom to your organization.

EPIC on the Road is Cal EPIC’s FREE mobile education and workforce program, bringing interactive learning experiences directly to schools and community organizations across Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties.

Programs can be customized for students from elementary through high school and can range from a short classroom presentation to a longer hands-on workshop or training. Depending on the age group and interests of participants, Cal EPIC can introduce students to careers in areas such as electric vehicles, renewable energy, engineering, advanced manufacturing, electrical trades, and other emerging technologies. We also help them understand the different education and training pathways that can lead to those careers.

Hands-on activities can also be incorporated to make STEM concepts more engaging and accessible. Depending on the program, students may work with STEM kits, explore technology through virtual reality headsets, use RC vehicles, and participate in other interactive activities that connect STEM concepts to real-world technologies and careers.

For older students and adult participants, EPIC on the Road can also offer longer workforce-focused classes and training opportunities, including programs such as OSHA-10.
